The realtor told me what a good bid would be which was only like 1500 over listing price and Ibthought that would not be enough because people were bidding on house like 15-20k over. There were many houses that we were looking at and trying to make sure we found something that would not turn into a war and not cast me big at appraisal time. The house was beautiful and the agent looking for us was amazing with her tour and her detailed eye. So I talked to Opendoor agent and they said they could do a virtual look for me and someone would go to the house for me and give me a video tour. The description looked good and the area was very nice, no neighbors in back. There was only 2 pictures available of front.
Once again unbelievable, but it happened! I found this house on the other aide of town near the mountains. So Opendoor told me they could back my bid as a cash bid and help me get a house. I had been approved for an FHA loan with a big down payment, but these houses were getting CASH bids over asking price. When I started to look at bidding wars and houses selling in 1 day or less, I was just lost. The house I found was like sent from God. I was very sceptical because it is just tooo good to be true. I googled them and made sure they were legit. The realtor team they linked me to was amazing. You guys said you could give me a bid on the house virtually and help me look for a house virtually I said to myself if this is real I am in!!! So I did the little questionaire on-line and bammm the process started. I had heard about Opendoor and seen some flyers so I did some investigating. I did not want to show the house or go 2 open houses. I loved the home I had but just needed somewhere out of the city. I needed somewhere I could get my kids out more without as many neighbors and traffic. I wanted to move for months because I wanted a bigger open space to avoid covid as much as possible. Without Opendoor I am very covid cautious I have many health risks in my family. May God bless Opendoor to continue to grow, be successful and help make people dreams come true! I have told everyone I know, including strangers :-), about this amazing company. However, Opendoor is the real deal! They are a very legitimate company and give great offers to purchase. I actually sold a home and purchased a new one through them all within a few weeks! I wish I could give them additional stars! I am the world's greatest skeptic and normally don't give credence to advertisers, especially via mail or internet. I would highly recommend Opendoor to sell OR buy a home, as I also bought my new home through them and the process was just as smooth. I kept waiting for the "gotcha" which NEVER came! It was my first time selling a home but it was the best process ever! I didn't have to worry about putting my house on the market and having strangers trample through my home while I was still living there. She was patient with my many questions due to my nervousness because I just couldn't believe selling my home was that simple. During the entire process, my representative, Lisa, was fantastic at assisting me through each step. After the assessment, the offer was even better! I accepted the offer and sold my home very quickly.
A representative came to my house, I believe, the next day or within a couple of days to perform an assessment. I received an advertisement card in the mail, went online, entered my address and received my initial offer, which exceeded my expectation. I will always consider Opendoor first when selling in the future! After accepting Opendoor's offer/signing the purchase agreement we entered escrow, and our escrow agent was also just as fantastic as Lexx! I cannot recommend Opendoor more! If you aren't up for interviewing realtors, staging/photographing your home, multiple showings, negotiations, buyer delays, and the numerous inconveniences that can occur selling the old fashioned way then Opendoor is for you. Fast Forward to early 2022 - We requested an offer from Opendoor and closed three weeks later on the date of our choice! Our Opendoor Experience Partner (Lexx) was wonderful! They stayed in constant communication with us each step of the way. Everything that could go wrong did and left us feeling leery of the process and absolutely exhausted. After negotiating/accepting an offer, we went into escrow for 30 days only to have the buyers not show up to closing. Our home last year and went the traditional route We hired a realtor, listed, and had multiple showings.
