The only thing you can do now is fight them, but either opponent will be bolstered in strength (Jinzaemon fights like a Samurai General, while Kotaro wields a bell). They will now have red eyes, and gone insane to boot. Predictably, you'll soon be able to find either Jinzaemon or Kotaro on the first island in the Underground Waterway - having killed all the Soldiers here. If you decided to send Jinzaemon or Kotaro to the surgeon Dosaku, you can bring him the Red Carp Eyes to help complete his experiment.
Even the Ashina Castle Gate has been locked - which means the only access to the castle is via the Abandoned Dungeon Entrance.īefore leaving the dungeon, be sure to head back inside for a moment. Since you can’t seem to get back to Ashina Castle via normal means, and the Shinobi Shortcut from the Dilapidated Temple has been ominously sealed, you’ll need to find a new way in.
